Write-in results were released on April 4 for the election held on April 2 for the Spickard R-2 Board of Education’s two-year term position.
In Grundy County, Ruth Ann Shipps received two write-in votes. Kelsey Vandevender, Marsha Kennedy, Gary Lee, Linda Reed, Todd McDowell, and David Chapman each received one write-in vote.
Shipps also appeared on the ballot for one of the two three-year term positions on the Spickard Board of Education, where she garnered 36 votes in Grundy County. Melody Chapman, another candidate for the board, received an equal number of votes, totaling 36.
No write-in votes were cast in Mercer County for the Spickard Board of Education. Both Shipps and Chapman received two votes each for the three-year terms.
