The Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery is currently showcasing a new exhibit titled “A World of Art: An Exhibition of Collected Art from Around the World.” The display features over 150 pieces from more than 40 countries, including works from Ecuador, Scotland, Thailand, and many other regions. The diverse collection includes a wide range of media such as watercolor, woodcarvings, sculptures, jewelry, wire wrapping, fiber artworks, pen and ink drawings, ceramics, pastels, and photography.
The “World of Art” exhibit opened on August 6 and will be on display through August 30 at the Cultural Corner Gallery. A special closing reception is scheduled for August 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During the reception, many of the collectors who provided these global pieces will present a program titled “Tales From Afar.” This program will offer insights into the cultures represented by the artwork. Additionally, an assortment of international appetizers will be available. Both the exhibition and the closing reception are free and open to the public.
The Cultural Corner Art Gallery is located at 424 Locust Street, Chillicothe, Missouri.
