Women Only Event: Crowder State Park to offer skill-building weekend

Crowder State Park, located west of Trenton, Missouri, will host a special event for women to learn new skills from female instructors. The event, titled “Women in Nature,” will take place at Camp Grand River from October 4 through October 6.

Participants in the Women in Nature weekend can engage in a variety of activities designed to enhance outdoor skills and provide hands-on experiences. The event will offer sessions on archery, atlatl throwing, a beginner orienteering course, fall decorating, kayaking, and both Dutch oven and camp cooking. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to partake in a night hike and explore the night skies.

Accommodations for the event include cabins at Camp Grand River. Participants are also welcome to bring tents for camping. The event is open to a maximum of 40 participants, and those attending must be at least 10 years old. Any participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
