Woman injured after her vehicle strikes cow on Highway K near Laredo

A Chula, Missouri, woman was injured early Saturday morning after her vehicle collided with a cow on Highway K, about two miles southeast of Laredo, Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred around 12:26 a.m. as Madison A. Weiseman, 23, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Highway K. Weiseman’s vehicle struck a cow that was in the southbound lane. After the impact, the Chevrolet traveled off the east side of the roadway before returning to the road and coming to a controlled stop just south of the crash scene.

Weiseman sustained minor injuries in the accident. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported by Grundy County Ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The Chevrolet Impala sustained minor damage but was able to be driven from the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department in managing the accident.
