A motor vehicle crash at the intersection of 16th and Lord streets caused a power outage in parts of northern and eastern Trenton around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd. Grundy County Emergency Management reported the incident, which disrupted power to several key locations, including the Trenton R-9 School District Office, Trenton Middle School, and Trenton High School.
Trenton R-9 Superintendent Daniel Gott confirmed that all phone lines were down at the affected school buildings due to the outage.
Trenton Municipal Utilities reported that power had been restored by 10:35 a.m. Emergency Management noted that no injuries were reported from the vehicle crash at the scene.
