A free guided hike will be held at Crowder State Park west of Trenton Valentine’s Day.

Interested individuals can meet park staff at the tennis court parking lot the afternoon of February 14th at 4 o’clock prior to the hike on Red Bud Trail. Park Resource Manager Anna Persell says the hike will be about two miles long and take about an hour. She encourages participants to dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.

Persell hopes several individuals will participate in this year’s hike, which she says would be a good way to celebrate National Heart Month. If the outdoor temperature becomes too cold, the hike will be canceled and not rescheduled because other walks and activities are held at Crowder State Park throughout the year.

More information on the Valentine’s Day Hike can be found by calling Crowder State Park at 660-359-6473.
