Jeb Walker Receives Award V2Sergeant Jeb Walker of the Trenton Police Department has been honored with the 2024 Enoch B. Morelock Award. Teresa Moore, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced the award during the 22nd Annual LECC Training Seminar held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. The award, presented by the U.S. Attorney’s Office Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee, recognizes exceptional moral character, commitment to law enforcement, and service to the community.

The Enoch B. Morelock Award is named in memory of Sullivan County Sheriff Enoch B. Morelock, who was the first recorded line of duty death in the Western District of Missouri in 1847. This prestigious award is given annually to law enforcement officers who demonstrate exemplary service and dedication.

Sergeant Walker, with 26 years of law enforcement experience, has served as a sergeant with the Trenton Police Department for 22 years. His extensive experience and commitment to the community have made him a standout nominee for this award.

The Trenton Police Department expressed pride in nominating Sergeant Walker for this recognition. The nomination highlighted his deep commitment to community service. “We often wonder how Jeb comes up with enough hours in the day to participate so much in the community, but month after month, he continues to serve the citizens of Trenton in so many ways. It’s all about pride for Jeb…pride in himself, his community, his agency, and his country,” the nomination stated.
