North Central Missouri College Foundation welcomes new members, elects officers

The North Central Missouri College Foundation Board of Directors convened on August 15 for a quarterly meeting at Cross Hall. The agenda included welcoming new board members, electing officers, and discussing committee updates and other business.

The new board members, Crystal Berry, Joyce Cutsinger, and Amy Lewis, were introduced following their election at the May quarterly meeting. Each of these individuals will serve a three-year term.

New Board Members’ Backgrounds

Crystal Berry, a resident of Green City, Missouri, brings significant expertise in strategic communications and is recognized nationally for her contributions in this field. Currently, she serves as Vice President at 25th Hour Communications, where she has been instrumental in the firm’s achievements. A dedicated wife and mother of four, Crystal’s two oldest sons are enrolled at NCMC through credit and dual credit programs. With over two decades of experience in marketing and communications roles at community colleges, Crystal is committed to leveraging her skills to support the mission of NCMC and its Foundation.

Joyce Cutsinger, a native of Trenton, Missouri, has deep roots in the local community. She completed her PN degree in 1980 and her ADN (RN) degree in 1982 at NCMC, where she later worked for 23 years, including roles as an instructor in the Nursing Department and as the Allied Health Coordinator. Joyce was honored with the Governor’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2002 and 2008. After retiring in 2012, she and her family remain devoted supporters of Pirate Basketball. Joyce’s husband, Ralph Cutsinger, passed away in 2020, shortly before their 50th wedding anniversary. Joyce has two children and two grandchildren.

Amy Lewis, an alum of NCMC and Moberly Area Community College, holds a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Missouri, as well as a PhD in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, obtained in 2023. She has held various positions at Pershing Health System, including Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, COVID-19 Specialist, Administrator of Special Projects, and Patient Access Supervisor. Amy is currently the Director of Rehabilitation at Livingston Manor Care Center in Chillicothe, employed by Select Rehabilitation. She resides in Brookfield, Missouri, with her husband and is a mother of three and grandmother of three.

Election of Officers for 2024-2025

The nominating committee proposed the following officer slate for the 2024-2025 term: Allan Seidel as President, Seth Cox as Vice President, Cathy McKay as Treasurer, and Tricia Key as Secretary (a non-voting position). Allan Seidel, a Trenton native and member of the Distinguished Alumni Class of 2018, has served as President since 2018 and has been a board member since 2013. Seth Cox, from Laredo, is serving his second year as Vice President and has been on the board since 2016. Cathy McKay, also from Trenton and a Distinguished Alumni Class of 2013 honoree, has been a board member since 2018 and is now entering her third year as Treasurer.

The meeting concluded with a review of ongoing projects and plans to support the mission of the North Central Missouri College Foundation.
