Effective September 1, 2024, Taylor West was promoted to Sergeant with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. Sergeant West began her career with the department on May 23, 2022, serving as a Deputy Sheriff. Since joining, she has quickly established herself as a valuable asset to both the sheriff’s office and the citizens of Livingston County.
West is recognized for her leadership among peers and her proactive approach to law enforcement. Her commitment to duty is frequently highlighted through the compliments received from the community. She is particularly noted for her skills in traffic enforcement and her role as a Field Training Officer, where she mentors new deputies.
In addition to her promotion, Sergeant West was honored with the L.E.T.S.A.C. Officer of the Year award, recognizing her dedication and efforts toward traffic safety.
