The Laredo Board of Aldermen approved moving funds from Southern Bank to Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri during their meeting on August 12. The decision followed the presentation of a banking resolution.

City Clerk Mercedes Scobee stated that the board voted to move the funds due to dissatisfaction with Southern Bank. The savings accounts, totaling $133,672.70, will be transferred first.

It was reported that the sewer project has commenced, with construction already underway at the city’s pump station.

Additionally, the city clerk will begin medical leave starting in mid-September.
