Grundy County Sheriff Rodney Herring credited a tip received via the sheriff’s office app for the arrest of Jeremy Donald Hamilton, 38, of Trenton.

The sheriff’s office periodically releases information about suspects under the “Friday Fugitive” program. Herring noted that a public tip led authorities to locate and take Hamilton into custody.

Hamilton was arrested on a warrant alleging failure to appear in court for a hearing on July 23. He had pleaded guilty in February to a misdemeanor count of driving while his license was revoked or suspended. He was placed on one-year probation. Bond is set at $3,700 cash, with Hamilton scheduled for a probation violation hearing on the August 13 docket of the associate division of the Grundy County Circuit Court.
