Upcoming veterans events for August at Trenton VFW Post 919

Several events are scheduled for veterans in August 2024 to assist with VA paperwork, provide counseling, and offer additional support services. These events will be held at the Trenton VFW Post 919.

Friday, August 2nd

  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: A Veterans Service Officer will be available to assist with VA paperwork and answer any questions. Attendees are asked to bring a copy of their DD-214 and all VA paperwork they may have.
  • 11 a.m. until everyone is seen: A counselor from the Kansas City Vet Center will be present to provide readjustment, PTSD, and depression counseling.
  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Representatives from the Missouri Veterans Commission will be available to help with VA paperwork and answer questions. Attendees should bring a copy of their DD-214 and any VA paperwork.

Monday, August 5th

  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: A Veterans Service Officer will again be present to assist with VA paperwork and answer questions. Attendees should bring a copy of their DD-214 and all VA paperwork.

Additional Information

  • A Veterans Service Officer is on call at 660-359-2078, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • A counselor, Dr. Hudson, is available as needed throughout the month to assist with PTSD and readjustment counseling. Both discharged and active military personnel are welcome.
  • The VA is looking for individuals interested in becoming VA Shuttle Drivers. For more information, please call 660-359-2078.
