Union Pacific Railroad Safety Class offered in Caldwell County

The Caldwell County Local Emergency Planning Committee is set to host a Union Pacific Railroad Response Safety 101 class. This educational event will take place in the lower level of the Caldwell County Health Department in Kingston on April 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Attendees will learn a variety of important topics including how to contact the railroad in your area, maintaining contact with the railroad before, during, and after an emergency, operating safely around railroads, and understanding railroading equipment. Additional subjects will cover the response process and actions, what information and resources the railroad can provide during an incident, and the railroad’s role within the Incident Command System.

The class scheduled for April 22 is offered at no charge.
