Two injured in Marion County ATV crash, one airlifted to hospital

An ATV accident occurred on August 17, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Marion County Road 122, 10 miles northwest of Philadelphia, Missouri. The accident involved a 2015 Suzuki ATV driven by Adam J. Miller, 28, of Troy, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Miller was traveling eastbound when he lost control of the ATV on gravel, causing the vehicle to overturn. Both Miller and his passenger, 21-year-old Eric T. Miller of Wentzville, Missouri, were ejected from the vehicle. Neither individual was wearing any safety equipment at the time of the crash.

Adam J. Miller sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by Survival Flight Helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. Eric T. Miller sustained moderate injuries and was transported via private vehicle to the same hospital.

The ATV, which sustained extensive damage, was removed from the scene by the owner.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department, local ambulance, and R2 Rural Fire Department assisted in the response.
