Two Milan residents were hurt Saturday morning when the car they were in traveled off a Milan street and hit a ditch.
The driver, 42-year-old David Smith, and a passenger, 45-year-old Julie Howe, were taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The crash happened on Third Street, east of Pearl Street, when the westbound car went off the left side of the road and hit a ditch, demolishing the vehicle.
Ms. Howe was wearing a seat belt but Smith was not using a safety device.
