Two drivers injured in two-vehicle crash north of Marceline

A two-vehicle collision occurred on July 19, 2024, at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Lowen Road, five miles north of Marceline, Missouri.

The accident involved a 2018 Ford EcoSport and a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicles met on a blind curve and struck each other in the middle of the roadway.

The Ford EcoSport, driven by 22-year-old Taylor N. Douglas of Brookfield, Missouri, sustained moderate damage and was towed by Precision Auto Towing. Douglas was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. She was transported by Linn County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 43-year-old Amber S. Gulley of Marceline, Missouri, also sustained moderate damage and was towed by Precision Auto Towing. Gulley was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries. She was also transported by Linn County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The accident scene was assisted by Linn County Ambulance, Linn County Sheriff’s Department, and Marceline Fire and Rescue.
