Two 15-year-old boys injured in Ray County UTV crash

A UTV accident occurred on Nottingham Road, east of Silvey Road, on July 4, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. The incident involved a 2019 Polaris Ranger UTV driven by a 15-year-old boy from Boynton Beach, Florida.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened as the vehicle made a hard left turn, causing it to roll onto its passenger side. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Excelsior Springs Hospital.

A 16-year-old male occupant from Lawson, Missouri, also sustained minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Excelsior Springs Hospital. He was also wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The Ray County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the response to the accident.
