Trenton Police report slight decline in nuisance incidents this year

The Trenton Police Department has reported a total of 112 nuisance incidents for the year as of August 26. This figure marks a decrease of six incidents compared to the same period in 2023, when 118 incidents were reported between January and August 25.

A summary of the nuisance complaints for this year reveals that the majority were related to grass and weeds, accounting for 64 complaints. Trash and debris followed with 30 complaints, while 12 incidents involved unregistered vehicles. Additionally, there were six complaints regarding the open storage of a disabled vehicle.

Out of the 112 incidents reported, 49 are currently active, 38 have been cleared, and 25 have resulted in prosecution. There are also 11 nuisance-related cases presently listed on the court docket.
