Trenton Police Department answers 478 calls for service in June

The Trenton Police Department responded to a total of 478 calls for service and self-initiated activities in June, according to the department’s monthly report.

In June, officers made 51 field interview contacts and completed 46 incident or offense reports. The department conducted 32 traffic stops, issued 27 warnings for traffic violations, and addressed 14 criminal charges resulting from arrests. Additionally, police collected 13 pounds of unwanted prescriptions, issued 10 citations or summons, completed 10 motor vehicle crash reports, and arrested six suspects.

Animal control officers managed 23 animal complaints throughout the month. They performed 16 animal welfare checks and issued nine verbal warnings. A total of nine canines and four felines were impounded.

The Trenton Police Department’s communications center managed 1,530 non-emergency phone calls and 252 emergency 911 calls. Additionally, the center attended to 147 walk-in subjects.
