The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a Trenton man on October 24 on a capias warrant for a probation violation. Thirty-seven-year-old Corey Hines’s original charge was felony second-degree domestic assault.

Bond was set at $15,000, cash only. He is scheduled for Division One of Grundy County Circuit Court on November 9.

Court documents accuse Hines of recklessly causing physical injury to a confidential victim in October last year by placing the person in a chokehold. The individual was considered a domestic victim because Hines and the person were said to be in a continuing social relationship of a romantic or intimate nature. Hines and the individual were also reportedly residing together.

Court information indicates that Hines was convicted in Daviess County Circuit Court in February 2009 of felony possession of a controlled substance and in Livingston County Circuit Court in April 2014 of theft or stealing.
