Trenton High School Alumni Weekend to honor Martha Brinkley

Retired instructor Martha Brinkley has been selected as the honoree for the Trenton High School alumni weekend. Mrs. Brinkley taught English and language arts classes at Trenton High School for 13 years (1994–2007).

Steve Maxey, secretary for the alumni association and its nonprofit, Foundation Trust for Trenton High School, said Brinkley was the choice made by the graduating class of 1999:

 

 

The weekend schedule includes the all-alumni mixer Friday at 6 p.m. at the Riverside Country Club; the all-alumni open house Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon at the high school commons; and various individual class reunions at multiple locations and times. On Sunday morning, the all-alumni brunch and Foundation Trust board meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Trenton High School commons.

Other events include Trenton hosting Brookfield in a football game Friday at 7 p.m. at CF Russell Stadium; round-robin tennis at the Carpenter-Bosley High School courts at 9 a.m. on Saturday; the Five Points Festival downtown from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the car and cycle show Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Eastside Park; and the Leadership Northwest Missouri Music Jam Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on the grounds of Black Silo Winery of Trenton.
