Trenton firefighters respond to vehicle fire on W. Crowder Ct.

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Trenton Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire located at W. Crowder Ct., approximately 100 yards from W. Crowder Rd. The incident occurred at 1:04 p.m. and lasted for 38 minutes.

The fire department was notified of the blaze through a 911 call. Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle fully involved in flames. They used 200 feet of 1 ¾” hose line to extinguish the fire.

The vehicle was destroyed, resulting in a total loss. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and remains under investigation. The state fire marshal has been notified.

The Trenton Fire Department received assistance from the Grundy County Rural Fire Department, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, and Grundy County EMS.
