Johnson faces several charges, including one count of third-degree domestic assault, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of first-degree harassment, and one count of armed criminal action.

The investigation began on June 23, 2024, when Cedar County Sheriff James McCrary requested assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control to investigate an alleged assault involving Johnson.
