An 18-year-old teenager from Spickard, Missouri, was killed in a single-vehicle accident Sunday evening on Harmonica Road, one mile south of Princeton, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 7:12 p.m. as Henry J. Stutzman was driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty southbound on Harmonica Road. The vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway before returning to the road. Stutzman then overcorrected, causing the Jeep to veer off the east side of the road and strike an embankment. The vehicle began to overturn, and Stutzman was ejected from the driver-side window.

The Jeep Liberty came to rest on its driver’s side, facing eastbound, off the east side of the roadway. Stutzman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Stutzman was transported by Life Flight Eagle to UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was pronounced deceased at 9:04 p.m. by Clark County, Iowa Medical Examiner George Fotiadis.

The crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and was assisted by Conservation Agent A.J. Musche, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, and Mercer County EMS.
