Six-year-old boy airlifted to Springfield after ATV crash south of Carthage

An ATV accident on Dispatch Road, approximately two miles south of Carthage, Missouri, resulted in serious injuries to a six-year-old boy. The crash occurred when a Zhejiang ATV, driven by the six-year-old from Carthage, struck a concrete driveway, causing the young driver to be ejected from the vehicle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the boy was wearing safety equipment at the time of the crash. Despite the safety measures, he sustained serious injuries.

Emergency responders transported the child via MedFlight to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for treatment.
