Rollover crash on Highway 169 near Grant City injures driver

A rollover accident involving an SUV occurred on August 4, 2024, at 1:05 p.m. on Highway 169, four miles north of Grant City in Worth County, resulting in minor injuries to the driver.

Lesa A. Darrah, a 46-year-old woman from Redding, Iowa, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban southbound when the vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway. The SUV struck a Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) barrier and overturned, coming to rest on its top, facing north.

Darrah, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Ringgold County Hospital by Worth County EMS. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Diversified Towing of Creston, Iowa.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Department assisted Trooper T.R. Hecker in responding to the incident.
