Robert “Bob” Leroy Miller Sr., 90, of Polo, MO, passed away on Saturday evening, August 10, 2024, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, MO.
Robert was born on April 1, 1934, to Daniel Dye and Lottie (Simpson) Miller in Kansas City, KS. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, stationed in California. Robert married Laura Morgan in December 1956 and later married Betty Jordan in December 1970 until her passing in 1994. He was a member of the RLDS faith, active in the Elks Lodge, and a member of the American Legion in Excelsior Springs for over 50 years. Bob enjoyed golf cart rides, the Kansas City Chiefs, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents, Daniel and Lottie Miller; and two brothers, Charles Daniel Miller and Cooley Miller. He is survived by two sons, Robert Leroy Miller Jr. and Wayne Miller, both of Polo, MO; three grandchildren, Derek Miller (Amber) of Trenton, MO, Chelsi Miller of Trenton, MO, and Kyle Spencer (Karen) of Dawn, MO; five great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance, in care of the funeral home. Private burial at Crowley Cemetery, Rayville, MO.
