Ricky Dale Leeper obit photoCherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Rick Leeper, entered into rest on Friday morning, August 9, 2024, in Branson, MO.

Ricky Dale Leeper was born on July 26, 1956, in Trenton, Missouri, to Truman Dale Leeper and Garnett Nadine (Thomas) Leeper. He spent much of his life in Trenton, attending school, working, and raising his family there. On December 31, 1983, he married the love of his life, Tammy Hall, in Trenton, and they were blessed with three children.

Rick worked as a mechanic for the Union Pacific Railroad while also living on his farm in Trenton, where he enjoyed raising longhorn cattle. As an outdoorsman, he had a lifelong passion for fishing. Some of his favorite moments were spent on trips to Minnesota, fishing on the Red River, as well as spoonbill fishing and snagging in Warsaw, MO, and on the James River. Fishing, hunting, and camping were all enriched by the involvement of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in these adventures and many trips together as a family.

In 2018, Rick and Tammy retired to Branson, where Rick continued to use his mechanical skills by volunteering with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Branson.

Rick will be deeply missed, but the great memories will live on with his family: wife, Tammy Leeper of Branson; daughter, Sara Leeper of Hollister; son, Richard Leeper of Mooresville, MO; his nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Dale and her husband Jerry of Brookfield, MO; and niece Andee Applebury and her husband Rod of Macon, MO.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Gretta Leeper.

In Rick’s memory, donations are requested to the American Cancer Society or to the family to assist with medical expenses in care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, 1638 E. State Highway 76, Branson, MO 65616.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
