Three juveniles were injured in a single-vehicle accident early Friday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred on Highway BB just west of Highway D in Randolph County at approximately 12:07 a.m.
A 2015 Infiniti QX6, driven by a 17-year-old from Moberly, Missouri, was traveling westbound when the vehicle swerved to avoid a deer. The vehicle subsequently left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. The Infiniti sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Prather’s.
The 17-year-old driver, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Randolph County Ambulance to University Hospital.
The vehicle had two male occupants at the time of the crash. A 15-year-old passenger, who was also wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital by Randolph County Ambulance. Another 17-year-old passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries and was also transported to University Hospital.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and Randolph County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
