Queen City man airlifted to Columbia after motorcycle crash on Highway U

A 27-year-old man from Queen City, Missouri, sustained serious injuries following a motorcycle accident on Highway U, five miles north of Queen City, on August 8, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The man, identified as Kane March, was driving a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle northbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. March reportedly overcorrected, causing the motorcycle to overturn. The impact of the crash ejected March from the motorcycle.

March was not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the accident. He sustained serious injuries and was transported by Air Evac to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, for treatment. The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Lakeside Towing.

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene of the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
