Putnam County Fair kicks off in Unionville today

The five-day Putnam County Fair in Unionville, Missouri, begins its festivities on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, with a variety of events and activities scheduled throughout the day. The fair showcases local talents and provides a range of entertainment for all ages, starting with the entering of exhibits and culminating with evening events.

Opening Day Events:

  • 8 a.m. – Entry of open class exhibits begins.
  • 10 a.m. – Fine arts and photography exhibits can be entered.
  • 3 p.m. – 4-H and FFA exhibits will be accepted.

Highlighted Events for Tuesday, September 3, 2024:

  • 11 a.m. – 4-H/FFA Rabbit and Poultry Show
  • 2 p.m. – Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull at the Show Arena
  • 3 p.m.-5 p.m. – Rodeo Slack
  • 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. – Foam Zone
  • 4 p.m. – Story Hour at Friends of the Library Booth
  • 4:30 p.m. – Queen Contest
  • 4 p.m.-7 p.m. – Livestock Weigh-In

Evening Events:

  • 5 p.m.-10 p.m. – Carnival Armband Promotion
  • 5 p.m. – Lucky Duck Lottery
  • 6 p.m. – Queen Coronation with 4-H Royalty to follow
  • 7 p.m. – URA/IRCA Rodeo at the Putnam County Fairgrounds
