Princeton and Spickard schools have announced their back-to-school events and schedules for the upcoming academic year. These events are aimed at ensuring a smooth transition for students, parents, and faculty as they prepare for the new school year.
Enrollment and Open Houses
For 7th-grade students at Princeton, new student enrollment is scheduled from August 5 to August 16. Enrollment will be held daily from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This period will allow new students to register, meet their teachers, and become acquainted with their new school environment.
Spickard School will host a School Supply Night on August 8 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This event is open to all Spickard students from grades K through 12. It provides an opportunity for students and parents to collect necessary school supplies and gather information about the upcoming school year.
Princeton will also hold an Open House for Junior High and High School students on August 19 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This event will allow students and their families to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and get a feel for the school environment before classes begin.
Additionally, Spickard R-II School will have its Open House and Title I Annual Meeting on August 20 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Families are encouraged to attend, meet teachers, and participate in the Title I Annual Meeting with Mrs. Lanning in the gym. Complimentary refreshments, including hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks, will be available in the cafeteria.
Start Dates and Schedules
The bus schedule for Junior High and High School students will remain unchanged from the previous year. Buses will leave Spickard at 7:25 am and return at 3:20 pm. Princeton schools will start on August 20, with an early dismissal at 12:30 pm.
Elementary students at Spickard will also follow the same schedule as last year, arriving at 7:30 am, with breakfast at 7:40 am, and classes beginning at 8:00 am. The school day will conclude at 3:30 pm. Spickard schools will commence on August 21, with an early dismissal at 1:00 pm.
