A collision between a pickup truck and a farm tractor resulted in moderate injuries for two individuals on August 16, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of Elk Grove Road and SE Pleasant Hill Drive, two miles south of Braymer, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, driven by 57-year-old Steven L. Paul of Norborne, Missouri, was traveling southbound on Elk Grove Road when it collided with a Case 8910 tractor. The tractor, driven by a 16-year-old juvenile from Braymer, Missouri, was traveling eastbound on SE Pleasant Hill Drive. The collision occurred at the intersection, with the Silverado striking the tractor in the left front corner.

As a result of the impact, the tractor overturned, coming to rest on its left side in the roadway. The Silverado remained upright and came to rest in the intersection, facing southeast.

The juvenile driver of the tractor sustained moderate injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center. An 80-year-old passenger in the Silverado, Lois J. Paul of Norborne, Missouri, also sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Liberty Hospital.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and Shoal Creek Fire Department assisted at the scene.
