A pedestrian check near Dawn Thursday led to the arrest of a Dawn resident for alleged drug crimes.
Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox reports Deputy Nicholas Leadbetter arrested 27-year-old Kord Patrick Johnson after being dispatched to check on an individual wearing dark clothing and walking in or near Highway C. Cox says a check of a bag dropped near Johnson allegedly revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia equipment.
He was turned over to the Daviess-Dekalb County Regional Jail and formal charges were filed in Livingston County Associate Circuit Court on felony drug possession.
Cox reports Johnson is also on probation/parole with the state for convictions of non-support and a drug conviction. A probation/parole warrant has also been issued.
He was arraigned in Livingston County Associate Circuit Court Monday and his bond was set at $15,000 cash.
