One person injured in rollover accident on Highway 6 near Kirksville

A rollover accident on Highway 6, four miles east of Kirksville, Missouri, left one person injured on the afternoon of August 30, 2024. The accident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident involved a 2007 GMC Sierra, driven by Sonia Lopez Palomino, 54, of Kirksville, Missouri. The vehicle slid off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The GMC Sierra sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Lakeside Towing.

Sonia Lopez Palomino was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. She sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Adair County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Troopers on the scene included Trooper Osborne, Corporal Mason, Corporal Johnson, and Trooper Wood.
