One injured in two-vehicle collision on Route E west of Milan

A two-vehicle collision occurred on Route E, four miles west of Milan, Missouri, at approximately 9:09 a.m. on August 26, 2024. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the incident involved a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 1996 Dodge 3500.

According to the patrol, the 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Hannah J. Stanton, 20, of Milan, Missouri, was traveling westbound when it failed to yield while making a left-hand turn. The vehicle collided with an eastbound 1996 Dodge 3500, driven by Jason L. Dickerson, 49, also of Milan, Missouri.

The collision resulted in extensive damage to both vehicles. The Dodge Grand Caravan and the Dodge 3500 were towed from the scene by Littrell Towing.

Hannah J. Stanton, the driver of the Dodge Grand Caravan, sustained minor injuries in the accident. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Stanton was transported by Sullivan County Ambulance to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Jason L. Dickerson, the driver of the Dodge 3500, did not report any injuries and was not wearing a seat belt.

Assistance at the scene was provided by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Milan Fire Department, and Sullivan County Emergency Medical Services.
