A collision involving a 2005 Nissan Quest and a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado occurred on Route A, four miles north of Higbee, Missouri, at 7:30 a.m. on July 29, 2024, resulting in injuries to one driver.
The accident took place when the northbound Nissan Quest, driven by Nitosha J. Shepherd, 40, of Glasgow, Missouri, attempted to pass another vehicle and sideswiped the southbound Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Brian L. Dougherty, 45, of Higbee, Missouri.
The Nissan Quest sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Prather’s Towing, while the Chevrolet Silverado had minor damage and was driven away from the site.
Shepherd, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Moberly Regional Medical Center by the Randolph County Ambulance District. Dougherty, also wearing a seat belt, was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The incident was attended to by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Higbee Fire Department.
