Mrs. Donna Marie Wagner, 90, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, died at 11:35 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, Missouri.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2023, at Martin Cemetery north of Trenton, Missouri.
Family visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, Missouri.
Memorials may be directed to either Martin Cemetery or the American Diabetes Association, and they may be left with the mortuary.
Mrs. Wagner was born on January 22, 1933, in Brimson, Missouri, the daughter of Herman and Marie Nickerson Shields. Before retiring, she was employed for 48 years at J.C. Penney in Trenton, Missouri, starting her employment there in 1951.
On February 8, 1952, she married J.L. Wagner. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2007.
Her survivors include one son, John Wagner, and his wife, Karen, of Tindall, Missouri; granddaughter Jenny Otto and her husband, Lance, of Trenton, Missouri; grandson Michael Wagner and his wife, Angela, of Tindall, Missouri; granddaughter Shelly Gallagher of the state of Florida; step-granddaughter Tiffany Cannon and her husband, Matt, of Tindall, Missouri; step-granddaughter Hannah Brill and her husband, Josh; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Shields, and his wife, Rosalie, of St. Joseph, Missouri; and a special friend, Laura Sue Daniels, of Trenton, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Larry Shields.
