A blood drive will be held at the Northwestern R-1 School in Mendon to support the husband of the school secretary who was injured in an accident in early April.

The American Red Cross will accept blood donations in the multipurpose room of the school May 7th from 2 o’clock in the afternoon to 6 o’clock in the evening.

Family and Consumer Science teacher Mary Cupp says Ronnie McGilvray had to have a leg amputated and used 18 units of blood after the accident earlier this month. Cupp adds that the goal of the blood drive is to collect 30 units of blood.

Call Mary Cupp at 660-272-3201 for more information or make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting The Red Cross website and entering sponsor code NorthwesternR1.
