The Northwest Missouri State Fair is set to take place in Bethany from August 28 through September 2, offering a variety of events and activities for attendees of all ages.

The fair will kick off on Wednesday, August 28, with the entry of 4-H exhibits from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On Thursday, August 29, a baby show will be held at the Family Pavilion at 3 p.m., followed by a parade at 6 p.m. The grandstand will feature a performance by Fast Times at 7 p.m.

Livestock shows will commence on Friday, August 30, starting with a goat show at 10 a.m. and a rabbit show at 4 p.m. The Family Pavilion will host Crazy Boy Coy at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. Additional events at the pavilion include a kids pedal pull and a performance by B Howard Crist at 6 p.m. A tractor pull will take place at the grandstand at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 31, will feature several livestock shows, including swine at 8:30 a.m., poultry at noon, and sheep at 1 p.m. The Super Farmer Contest will be held at 3 p.m. The BTC Area Youth Benefit Corporation will conduct a color run at 8:30 a.m. Crazy Boy Coy will return to the Family Pavilion at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. Muscadine Bloodline will perform at the grandstand at 7 p.m., with special guest Kolby Cooper. Quinton Cox and Company will provide entertainment in the beer garden before and after the grandstand concert.

Sunday, September 1, will include a Beef Show at 10 a.m. and the Premium Sale at 5 p.m. The Second Annual Northwest Missouri State Fair Cornhole Tournament will begin at the Family Pavilion at 8:30 a.m. Crazy Boy Coy will perform at the pavilion at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. Grandstand shows for the day include the Lonestar Jubilee at 2 p.m., featuring Duke Mason, and car races at 7 p.m.

On Monday, September 2, a demolition derby will take place at the grandstand at 11:30 a.m., followed by car races at 7 p.m. Riker will perform at the Family Pavilion at 1 p.m. The Equine Club of North Missouri Fun Show will be held west of the grandstand at 3 p.m.

A carnival will be available from August 29 through September 2.

Front gate admission is $5 for adults and free for children 10 years old and younger. August 29 is designated as Family Day, with free admission for everyone. Season tickets are priced at $15 for adults, and grandstand event prices vary.
