On Wednesday, Columbia hosted Career Development Events (CDE) for the northeast Missouri district schools with Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters.
Bucklin, located in eastern Linn County, emerged as the district champion team in the dairy cattle category. Avionna Lewis from Bucklin was the top-ranked individual judge in this category. Other teams that qualified for state in the dairy cattle category include Milan and Brookfield.
Online results for area schools revealed that Meadville secured fifth place in meats; Linn County was ranked seventh, and Putnam County was tenth in livestock. Each of these teams also qualifies for the FFA State Convention CDE competition.
