North Central Missouri Fair exhibits in Rock Barn showcase local talents

The North Central Missouri Fair’s Rock Barn welcomed participants on Tuesday, July 30, with the adult, horticulture, and youth sections accepting exhibits from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fair Board representatives reported a turnout similar to last year, with exhibitors showcasing a wide array of talents.

Adult Division

A total of 13 individuals contributed to the Household Arts and Science Department, presenting 63 items that included home-canned goods, quilted items, needlework, and interior decorations. This year also featured entries in the adult woodworking categories, with recognition provided by Moore’s Woodworking and Construction of Trenton.

Youth Division

The Youth Division showcased entries from 47 area youth, including members of 4-H, FFA, and the general public. The exhibits reflected interests in arts and crafts, photography, livestock, home decoration, food preparation, and preservation. Quin Weldon received the Loretta Ray award for the most home-canned items entered in the youth division, with seven canned items.
