The 2024 North Central Missouri Fair in Trenton is set to offer a thrilling lineup of events from August 2 to August 4. Attendees can look forward to a range of activities, from livestock shows to racing, ensuring a fun-filled weekend for all ages.

Friday, August 2

The fair kicks off on Friday, August 2, with the FFA Cookshack serving a daily special of loaded baked potatoes and drinks for $5. Visitors can also enjoy desserts, burgers, hot dogs, and chips from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The Sheep and Goat Shows will start at 5:00 p.m., with participants required to register by 2:00 p.m. “Be Boppin Dave” will entertain in the courtyard at 5:00 p.m., with guests encouraged to bring their chairs.

The highlight of the evening is the ATV & Dirtbike Motocross Races at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids, and $25 for a pit pass. The carnival will run from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 3

Saturday’s events begin with the FFA Cookshack offering walking tacos and drinks for $5. Desserts, burgers, hot dogs, and chips will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The Beef and Horse Shows start early, with beef participants registering by 8:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. show. Horse participants must register by 8:00 a.m., with the show commencing at 9:30 a.m. at the Grundy County Saddle Club.

The Baby Show will take place in the courtyard, with registration from 8:15 a.m. and the show starting at 9:00 a.m. An entry fee of $10 per child ($5 for each additional sibling) applies.

The Tuff Trucks event will be a major attraction, beginning with a 4:00 p.m. sign-in and a 7:00 p.m. race. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. Pit passes are $25.

The carnival continues from noon to 4:00 p.m. and again from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Sunday, August 4

The fair concludes on Sunday with the Premium Sale at 5:00 p.m., offering a final opportunity for attendees to enjoy the fair’s offerings.

ATV & Dirtbike Motocross Races Details

The ATV & Dirtbike Motocross Races on Friday, August 2, promise to be a high-energy event. Sign-in begins at 4:30 p.m., with the race starting at 7:00 p.m. Admission is set at $15 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. Pit passes are available for $25.

Racers can enter for $20 for one class or $30 for two (limit of two classes). Expert classes have an entry fee of $25 for one or $40 for two (limit of two classes). Trophies will be awarded in all classes except for experts, who will compete for cash prizes of $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third.

Participants must attend a riders meeting 30 minutes prior to the race and wear appropriate safety gear. The track will cater to both ATVs and motorcycles.

Tuff Truck Event Highlights

On Saturday, August 3, the Tuff Truck event will draw in crowds with its thrilling races. Sign-in begins at 4:00 p.m., and the race kicks off at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids aged 6-12, with children 5 and under entering for free. A pit pass costs $25, and entry for vehicles is $50, including one pit pass.

Prizes for the Tuff Truck event are substantial, with $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third. Drivers must adhere to safety protocols, including wearing helmets and long sleeves.
