Newtown-Harris and Grundy County R-5 Boards of Education set to meet

The Newtown-Harris R-3 Board of Education will consider the approval of the school calendar. The board will meet in the high school Family and Consumer Sciences room on Wednesday night, April 10th, at 7 p.m.

Other items on the agenda include the recognition of outgoing board member Mike Otto, board reorganization, partnerships, and cooperatives for the next school year, the approval of the purchase of stage curtains, approval of seniors and eighth graders for graduation, summer school options, and student summer workers. Updates on the Clean School Bus Grant for an electric bus, the School Safety Grant involving bids, a school bus inspection, MOreNet/E-Rate, photography, the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan, and the legislature are also to be provided.

The agenda for the Newtown-Harris Board of Education meeting on April 10th also includes an executive session for personnel and student matters.

The Grundy County R-5 Board of Education will discuss salary and insurance information on April 11th. The board will meet in the high school business room at 6 p.m.

Other items on the agenda include the administration of the oath of office to board members, reorganization of the board, a Grundy R-5/Newtown-Harris agreement, letting bids for propane, diesel, milk, and bread, and a health fair. The agenda for the Grundy R-5 Board of Education meeting on April 11th also includes a closed session for personnel records, employees, and student discipline.
