A traffic stop attempt by Deputy Proctor on a vehicle near Lathrop led to a pursuit after the vehicle fled. The chase concluded in the area of Clinton County Road and Bridge, where the suspect, Carl Roberts, fled on foot.
A search of the vehicle confirmed Roberts’ identity and revealed narcotics and paraphernalia. Roberts was taken into custody early Tuesday morning and is awaiting extradition to Kansas for an outstanding stealing warrant. Charges are pending in Clinton County.
