Missouri’s Winefest returns to Mound City for 15th annual celebration

Missouri’s Great Northwest Winefest is set to return for its 15th year at Griffith Park in Mound City, Missouri, on Saturday, September 21. The event, which will run from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., is expected to attract over 1,400 visitors who will enjoy a range of activities, including wine tasting, live music, grape stomping, and shopping from a variety of vendors.

The Winefest will feature wineries, breweries, and distilleries from across Northwest Missouri, offering tastings of their spirits to guests aged 21 years and older. Notable attendees include Backyard Vine & Wine, LLC, Baltimore Bend Vineyard, Fence Stile Vineyard & Winery, Prestyn’s Wine Bar, The Windy Wine Company, R/Farm Distillery, Saint James Winery, Black Pony Brewing Company, 1st Barrel Brewing, Delaney Vineyard and Winery, and Jowler Creek Vineyard.

Guests can purchase spirits directly from the vendors or visit the onsite cash bar provided by Toad Hollar Bar & Grill. While sampling beverages, attendees can shop from approximately 60 vendors or relax and enjoy live music performances. This year’s lineup includes Jennifer George, Curtis Wayne Stroud, Party Punch, and headliner Derrek Stoner. A selection of food trucks will also be available, including Enchilada Lady, Groovy’s Grub, CR BBQ and Catering, The Charcuterie Queen, J&E Cookie Shop, Sweet Tooth, Tasty Things, and Pop Henry’s Kettle Corn.

Tickets for the Winefest are available for purchase online at this link or at the event entrance. Prices are as follows: $30 for adults aged 21 and older, which includes a wine glass and wine samples; $15 for designated drivers (tickets for designated drivers are available at the door only); $5 for children aged 12 and under (tickets for children are available at the door only); and free admission for children aged 5 and under. Pets are not permitted at the event.

The Winefest serves as a fundraiser for Northwest Missouri Enterprise Facilitation (NWMEF), a nonprofit organization providing free and confidential business coaching in Andrew, Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth counties. The organization supports local entrepreneurs and businesses by offering guidance and resources to help them succeed.
