Missouri Democrats will hold a presidential primary on March 23.

The primary will be a hybrid election. Democrats may cast their vote by mail or in person from 8 a.m. to noon on the day of the primary.

The Missouri Democrats’ website lists in-person voting sites in the Green Hills area, including the Daviess County Courthouse in Gallatin for Daviess County, the Grundy County Courthouse in Trenton for Grundy County, the Linn County Courthouse in Linneus for Linn County, and the Livingston County Library in Chillicothe for Livingston County.

In the Green Hills area, Missouri Democratic Party Communications Director Chelsea Rodriguez reports that there will not be an in-person site in Caldwell, Harrison, Putnam, and Sullivan counties. She says anyone from a county that does not have an in-person voting site can vote in another county or request a mail-in ballot.

Mail-in ballots are available through the Missouri Democratic Party’s website or by calling 855-433-8683. The request period will end on March 12 at 5 p.m. An election contractor, not the state, will send the mail-in ballots. The mail-in ballots must be returned to the Missouri Democratic Party by March 23 at 10 a.m.

Votes will be counted, and the Missouri Democratic Party will release results by county by March 28.

Voters who were registered with the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office by February 21 will be eligible to vote in the Democratic Presidential Primary on March 23, as long as they are not registered as Republicans.
