The Republican National Committee has re-instated the Missouri delegation originally selected by majority vote at the state Republican convention held in Springfield. This decision allows the entire 54-member group, consisting of 27 delegates and 27 alternates, to represent Missouri at the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee next week.

Grundy County Republican Chairman Becky McDonald reported that the delegation includes State Representative Mazzie Christianson and Republican gubernatorial candidates Bill Eigel and Jay Ashcroft. McDonald also noted that Jeremy Clevenger of Chillicothe, who was selected as a delegate during the 6th Congressional District convention held in Chillicothe, retained his status despite the national party’s initial actions.

Bill Eigel posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the “Truly Grassroots for Trump” delegate slate was unanimously re-instated by the credentialing committee of the Republican National Committee. Initially, this group was rejected by national officials, leading State Republican Party Chairman Nick Meyers to select his own slate of attendees. However, the original group has now been restored to represent Missouri as delegates and alternates.
