Mercer County Fair 4-H Achievement Day results announced

The Mercer County Fair recently showcased the talents of young 4-H members during its annual Achievement Day. With a total of 41 entries submitted by 16 county youths, the event highlighted an array of impressive projects and accomplishments. Of these entries, 17 projects have been selected to advance to the state level.

Notable among the achievements were several members of the Pine Evershine Club and the Moss Ranger Club who received blue ribbons and top honors:

  • Breileigh Summer, Pine Evershine Club: Memory board photo (Best in Show, State Fair)
  • McKenna Sticken, Pine Evershine: Chair (Best in Show, State Fair)
  • Kaylen Sticken, Pine Evershine: Girl photo (Best in Show, State Fair)
  • Flynn Landis, Moss Ranger Club: Knife sheath (Best in Show, State Fair)
  • Emily Oswalt, Pine Evershine: Reese’s Cookies and Peanut Butter the Pig (Best in Show, State Fair)
  • Alexis Shurke, Pine Evershine: Mom and Baby (Best in Show, State Fair)

Additional 4-H members who earned blue ribbons and state fair qualifications include:

  • McKenna Sticken: Leaf photo
  • Kolton Schurke, Pine Evershine Club: Winter Sunset, calf halter, and gun rack
  • Paisley Power, Pine Evershine: Brownies
  • Alexis Shurke: Sunset puzzle and calf halter
  • Morgan Ellsworth, Pine Evershine: Raising Butterflies and Horse photo
  • Oliver Johnson, Moss Ranger Club: Feather pen and raspberry ink

The event featured participants across different age groups, including five Clover Kids and 11 4-H youth, all contributing to the showcase of skills and creativity at the fair.
