The Mercer County Clerk’s Office has announced the list of candidates who have filed for the August 6 Primary Election.
For the position of First District Commissioner, the candidates include Denny Power, Lance Stiles, and Amy Cool. The Second District Commissioner race sees Michael Ralston and Jerod VanGenderen vying for the position. Incumbent Dana Widner is running for Assessor, while Incumbent Susan Moore seeks re-election as Collector-Treasurer. The Sheriff’s race includes candidate Randal Francis, and Incumbent Doug Priest has filed for re-election as Coroner.
All candidates have filed under the Republican party.
The candidate filing period for the August 6 Primary Election will continue until March 26 at 5 p.m.
